Composer and drummer Bobby Breton comes from Pasadena, CA and performs regularly with Yuko Mabuchi Trio and other ensembles. For 25 years Bobby has toured internationally and has placed music in film, television and video games. Bobby created Soboda Muzik which provides full service music composition and production for multi-media genre utilizing state of the art recording in the heart of Los Angeles. Soboda Muzik has written and produced over 350 compositions ranging from avant-garde, jazz, post-punk, cinematic, ambient groove, alternative rock, and classic contemporary genres. Bobby currently teaches Music Production at Los Angeles College of music and works as an independent consultant. Bobby also hosts workshops for music ensembles.
In addition to his skills as a drummer, Bobby also plays guitar, keyboards, and he sings as well. As a child, he spent a lot of his time in Port Au Prince, Haiti, where he has family. Bobby would visit his grandfather and look after his health while he and his mother were in town. At six years old he would go into the village and one particular day Bobby noticed a child playing a Tamboo drum. Bobby sat there mesmerized. Bobby’s mother encouraged him, and his drumming career began soon thereafter. Bobby received no formal training for drums as a child but received his first drum set when he was 8 years old. Bobby attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA and graduated with honors and also received a Human relations award in 1990.
Bobby has maintained a relationship with BMG Universal which has kept his music active for channels like Discovery, Netflix, Starz, Telemundo, Turner Sports and Nike. Bobby has been licensing music since 1999 and continues to do so independently.
