Yarlung created our first single composer album, Inner World, with UCLA composer David S. Lefkowitz. He had previously written Miniature VIII, which we feature as a duet for violin and viola on Janaki String Trio: debut, and then Eli Eli for Finnish violinist Petteri Iivonen, commissioned by the Jerry & Adi Greenberg Foundation on Petteri’s debut album Art of the Violin. Petteri plays Miniature VIII, but this time for solo violin, on his second album Art of the Sonata. David’s music can also be heard on our CD Dialoghi, with David Fung and Elinor Frey, in his arrangement of music by Machaut and Leonin and Lefkowitz, in Amour et Beauté Parfaite.
